Entrepreneur Magazine announced its 31st Annual Franchise 500 award winners for 2010. In the Business Coaching category, ActionCOACH took top honors, ranking No. 1 for the seventh consecutive year.

The United Way of Milford is a grassroots effort by its founders, who wanted to develop a community-wide fundraising campaign to support many different agencies.

As the effects of the 2008 recession deepen, the United Way is finding that it needs to do more work with a limited staff, in an ever-changing philanthropic landscape.

Child abuse, including sexual exploitation, has reached epidemic proportions throughout the United Sates –and Boulder County Colorado is no exception.

It is estimated that in Boulder County, two new children are sexually abused every day, indicating a grave threat to the mental and physical welfare and safety of its most valuable resource.

Compassion Australia isn’t just a non-profit organization for children, it provides development and advocacy programs to support and help educate children, too.

Compassion’s child development programs “minister to the spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional needs of children throughout all stages of development; from the womb to university,” according to its website.
