BIC Europe to Source with Zycus Strategic Sourcing software

Zycus, a world leader in Spend Management Solutions today, announces that BIC, a leading manufacturer of stationery products, lighters and shavers has selected Zycus Strategic Sourcing to accelerate savings, automate their sourcing processes and to further integrate their supplier network in Europe for packaging supply.

BIC looks to Zycus to provide a collaborative sourcing platform that will embrace the synergies between the BIC teams and their suppliers. BIC wanted to improve on its savings and performance but was challenged with the manual and time consuming processes that were further magnified due to its geographically diverse teams and supplier base. Zycus Strategic Sourcing will enable BIC to rapidly adopt an eSourcing solution that is extremely user-friendly and will streamline their sourcing processes, thus ensuring a faster and higher ROI.

BIC® products are known worldwide for their quality, affordability, and ease of use. The ballpoint pen, the pocket lighter, and the one-piece shaver are all part of the daily lives of millions of consumers. These products make BIC® one of the leading international brands in the office stationery and consumer goods segments.

“Our aim is to accelerate ROI and reduce the sourcing cycle time significantly through the automation of our sourcing programs.” said Thierry Bellicaud European Co-packing and packaging Manager in BIC. “Zycus Strategic Sourcing was an obvious choice as it is robust and easy to use. We really like the Web 2.0 technology with its drag-n-drop based RFQ creation, “what if” analysis, scoring of responses and flexible bid analysis functionality.” he added.

“BIC understands the business benefits and impact of aligning the global sourcing teams and the suppliers through a collaborative platform.” says Anurag Dixit VP – Marketing at Zycus. “We look forward to helping BIC Europe realize their objectives by enabling them to transform their current sourcing operations.”
